The ROAD GUY, the Wisdom & Wit of Dale Schmidt EPISODE 1 will be here soon

Dale founded and has been the owner “Lead Entrepreneur” of Daybreak Music since 1985 (38 years circa 2023). During this time, he has engaged delivering and retrieving musical instruments and other meaningful interactions almost daily with Band Directors throughout NE Ohio operating in every conceivable music education eco-system.

Before this Dale was a successful professional musician who toured throughout the USA as a guitarist, singer and occasional euphonium player. He earned the designation as Leader of nearly all of his high-level performing bands.

Combine that road experience with more nearly 40 years road experience listening to and mentoring Band Directors – it’s clear why we affectionately have titled him, “THE ROAD GUY.” He is wise, witty, he’s savvy (street smart), kind and understanding and he will help you to succeed in your important Band Director work. Oh, as Dale’s mantra, during his mentoring, all must “Have Fun!” too.

The Terrific Transformation of Timmy the

Tuba before filming

This image of “Timmy” the Tuba on The Daybreak Music Fearless Repair Guy’s bench is before his Terrific Transformation in our upcoming feature musical adventure motion picture about how Timmy, who was an outcast and broken for years languishing in a corner of the band room – but then – because of his Band Director’s belief in him and because of him arriving at Daybreak Music – he becomes re-united and transformed to be “Back in the Band Alive!”

This is a moving and motivating film intended to be a metaphor for students who sometimes feel like outcasts or broken but will see how Timmy survived his stresses and challenges to thrive, remain alive and enjoy again being with all of his band mates and soaring through life because of his music.
